Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kai Coppenrath started the match with the kick off. Jost Hochstätter was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bastian Kleimeier showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. When bvb's Kim Reichel in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ratzersdorf's goalie prevented a goal. After 12 played minutes bvb got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Höhle. After 13 minutes of play bvb's Jonas Höhle was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, bvb's Jonas Höhle got a free kick in the 14th minute. Jost Hochstätter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Kleimeier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kim Reichel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Klaus Korkus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Bastian Kleimeier took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Jost Hochstätter to make any attempt to save it. Jost Hochstätter was a little too slow when Kai Coppenrath got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 3-0. Klaus Korkus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Hofheinz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After some careless play in the Ratzersdorf defense, Kim Reichel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Klaus Korkus. The Ratzersdorf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Klaus Korkus should have stopped the shot. After 46 played minutes bvb got a freekick which was hit by Sören Hofheinz. With a little luck, bvb's Jost Hochstätter got control of the ball when Volker Divis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jost Hochstätter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Kleimeier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sören Hofheinz to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Reichel in the 54th minute of play forced Ratzersdorf's goalkeeper Klaus Korkus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jost Hochstätter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Frowerk in the 66th minute of play. Sören Hofheinz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Klaus Korkus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klaus Korkus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kim Reichel went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. In the 74th minute, Kim Reichel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klaus Korkus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Reichel in the 77th minute of play forced Ratzersdorf's goalkeeper Klaus Korkus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helmut Söbbe in the 78th minute of play forced bvb's goalkeeper Jost Hochstätter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Ratzersdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Kim Reichel came free, but Klaus Korkus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Kai Coppenrath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jost Hochstätter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bastian Kleimeier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, bvb's Nicholas Montanus got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Ratzersdorf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bastian Kleimeier to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Kai Coppenrath shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jost Hochstätter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
