He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Potschach FC reached it. If Stefan Jungblut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Fortuna United's Hansjörg Heinzelmann got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th match minute, Potschach FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Drewniak to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Potschach FC booed when Fortuna United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hansjörg Heinzelmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Fortuna United's zone, Andreas Boos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabian Buchwalder came out of the goal and Andreas Boos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
