Volkmar Rübin hit a great ball. Nicolai Köppen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Philip Erbler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Copa Juniors's Herbert Kitzbichler threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nicolai Jani, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Munzbach's Norman Dickopf got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norman Dickopf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Erbler having to interfere. If Norman Dickopf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 26th minute Norman Dickopf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Erbler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rüdiger Kuster sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 34 minutes of play, Munzbach's Nicolai Köppen made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Erbler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herbert Kitzbichler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolai Jani in the 39th minute of play. The supporters of Copa Juniors booed when Munzbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernd Henrich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Munzbach's Herbert Kitzbichler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Munzbach from getting a goal against them. Nicolai Jani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Herbert Kitzbichler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norman Dickopf was the one to do the kick off. If Norman Dickopf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Erbler made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Nicolai Köppen sent off a good shot on target. In the 64th minute of the match Philipp Störmsdörfer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Herbert Kitzbichler skillfully saved the ball. Peter Schmuck's late challenge caught a Copa Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Schmuck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 68th minute Nicolai Jani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herbert Kitzbichler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicolai Köppen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Erbler having to interfere. Norman Dickopf was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 77th minute. Munzbach's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Copa Juniors's Philip Erbler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Dickopf in the 80th minute of play. Nicolai Köppen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Philip Erbler made a huge save. Norman Dickopf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
