Unterteipl's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Kai Eichler hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute of the match Jan-Hauke Mueller shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnold Aus den Birken showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dario Divis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Payer in the 29th minute of play. Arnold Aus den Birken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Björn Jacobs, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Stefan Hoppe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jonas Grabner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnold Aus den Birken was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. After 48 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Björn Jacobs. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Björn Payer was the one to do the kick off. Dario Divis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Björn Payer's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stefan Hoppe in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Divis saved Manchester United from getting behind. Unterteipl's Arnold Aus den Birken proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Unterteipl from getting a goal against them. Stefan Hoppe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee ignored Unterteipl's protests and gave Kai Eichler a yellow card for diving instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Grabner got free with Arnold Aus den Birken in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee ended the match the Unterteipl players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
