Julius-Lasse Junglas hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Eike Rogge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jörn Dorazil was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Florian Christiansen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jörn Dorazil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. The FK Viola Investment GmbH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthias von Külmer should have stopped the shot. In the 30th minute, Eike Rogge reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jörn Dorazil. The goal made the score 1-2. Jörn Dorazil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eike Rogge in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Peter Mieß hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 43 minutes, Jörg Braun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neutal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jörg Braun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Jörg Braun made the kick off in the second half. The corner ended in Christoph-Felix Kalt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FK Viola Investment GmbH's Matthias von Külmer did a great save. Matthias Fehr's late challenge caught a FK Viola Investment GmbH's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthias Fehr helped the player get up and apologised. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Neutal! Jan-Niclas Feierabend shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Neutal's Jörn Dorazil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Christiansen in the 59th minute of play. Florian Christiansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jörn Dorazil having to interfere. Helge Christe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 66th minute, Herbert Strobl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Neutal's goalkeeper Jörn Dorazil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 73 minutes, Florian Christiansen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FK Viola Investment GmbH's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florian Christiansen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 played minutes FK Viola Investment GmbH got a freekick which was hit by Steffen Feldhofer. 86 minutes into the match, FK Viola Investment GmbH's Eike Rogge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jörn Dorazil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jörg Braun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Matthias von Külmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Neutal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Neutal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
