The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th match minute, Neuschitz FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randy Klaus to maneuver through the defense. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leon Fedde couldn't finish the play. Adrian Oelke kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Carsten Feistl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Fedde in the 15th minute of play. Joachim Aufhauser hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Carsten Feistl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Karl-Heinz Marquardt in the 19th minute. Leon Fedde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Carsten Feistl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Neuschitz FSV's zone, Karl-Heinz Marquardt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carsten Feistl came out of the goal and Karl-Heinz Marquardt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leon Fedde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carsten Feistl having to interfere. Leon Fedde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Carsten Feistl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41stth minute of the game Leon Fedde who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Neuschitz FSV's Carsten Feistl was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Karl-Heinz Marquardt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Heinz Marquardt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Carsten Feistl made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Fedde stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Neuschitz FSV's Carsten Feistl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Ehrlich in the 54th minute of play. Randy Klaus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Saak FC got a freekick which was hit by Chris Ehrlich. Eike Heiler was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Saak FC's Karl-Heinz Marquardt in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Neustadt got free with Adrian Roth in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Neuschitz FSV booed when Saak FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Ehrlich didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Saak FC's Adrian Roth got control of the ball when Kevin Neustadt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Saak FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Neuschitz FSV to win.
