The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Kiesenebner's late challenge caught a Rausch's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 22nd minute there was a penalty for Rausch. Nicolas Graf stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sebastian Bartek. 0-1. Nicolas Graf's late challenge caught a Unterberg FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicolas Graf helped the player get up and apologised. 29 minutes in the game Willi Neumann after having made a beautiful turn got a great opportunity to score and fired away a shot that went just to the left past a relieved David-Pascal Thier. A very good opportunity. Rausch's David-Pascal Thier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Rausch from getting a goal against them. When Sascha Morlock fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rausch's protests and gave Sascha Morlock a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Sascha Morlock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Rausch were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Florian Mothe stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 52nd minute of the game. One of Unterberg FSV:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Rausch:s goal. 57 minutes into the game, Tim Dorazil cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. David-Pascal Thier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florian Mothe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David-Pascal Thier having to interfere. Rausch's David-Pascal Thier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Dorazil in the 63rd minute of play. When Florian Mothe came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Unterberg FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florian Mothe couldn't finish the play. In the 66th minute Tim Dorazil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David-Pascal Thier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tino Bluhm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unterberg FSV's Sebastian Bartek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andreas Ibertsberger in the 69th minute of play. Tim Dorazil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. David-Pascal Thier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Bartek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andreas Ibertsberger's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Andreas Ibertsberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Sebastian Bartek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens Konermann kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Tino Bluhm's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Sebastian Bartek skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tim Dorazil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David-Pascal Thier having to interfere. Tino Bluhm scored 2-3 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sebastian Bartek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rausch's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
