Israel Grabiel started the match with the kick off. 8 minutes into the game, Peter Kellner was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Red Bull Salzburg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stuhlfelden the free kick. After having played for 15 minutes, Raphael Kreiner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red Bull Salzburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Raphael Kreiner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marc Fackler charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Fackler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marc Fackler kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Kreiner in the 30th minute of play forced Stuhlfelden's goalkeeper Douglas Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st match minute, Stuhlfelden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Krebs to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the match, Stuhlfelden's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Hörbelt came free, but Douglas Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes, Raphael Kreiner made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stuhlfelden's Douglas Quadros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When Marc Fackler was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 48 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Stuhlfelden's Marc Fackler got a free kick in the 48th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raphael Kreiner to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Kreiner in the 53rd minute of play forced Stuhlfelden's goalkeeper Douglas Quadros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Red Bull Salzburg's Luis Ballik got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Raphael Kreiner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Douglas Quadros made a huge save. In the 68th play minute Raphael Kreiner came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Douglas Quadros. 1-2. The Red Bull Salzburg fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when Red Bull Salzburg's Raphael Kreiner looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Douglas Quadros was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Raphael Kreiner showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Red Bull Salzburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 刘扬冰 to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Benito Cheche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Douglas Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raphael Kreiner in the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Stuhlfelden getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Benjamin Krebs hit a great ball. In the 91st minute, Florian Hörbelt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Quadros was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Red Bull Salzburg's Peter Kellner got his second yellow card of the match in the 96th minute. The referee ordered Peter Kellner off the ground. After 96 played minutes Red Bull Salzburg got a freekick which was hit by Peter Kellner. The Stuhlfelden fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Red Bull Salzburg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
