After 12 minutes, Armand Tapa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arrën and the Gjirokastra players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes Arrën got a freekick which was hit by Armand Tapa. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 13th minute, but Edvin Todori got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Arrën hanging dry this time. If Armand Tapa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Ilmi Guxholli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oran Angjeli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oran Angjeli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilmi Guxholli in the 19th minute of the match. Oran Angjeli came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Arrën's Armand Tapa. But to his dismay, Armand Tapa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Armand Tapa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Oran Angjeli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gjirokastra's goalkeeper Oran Angjeli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oran Angjeli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilmi Guxholli in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Armand Tapa made a precise shot to the right of Oran Angjeli. Gjirokastra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Arrën's Ilmi Guxholli got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 36 minutes, Armand Tapa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arrën's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armand Tapa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erzen Biba in the 44th minute of play forced Arrën's goalkeeper Edvin Todori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Arrën getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Flamur Lenja hit a great ball. Edvin Todori had great luck who in the 47thth minute grab hold of the ball when Erzen Biba from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Ilmi Guxholli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oran Angjeli having to make a save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
In the 55th match minute, Arrën was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shahin Qiraxhi to maneuver through the defense. Meard Rexhollari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 60th minute of the match Stiven Dervishi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edvin Todori skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Arrën getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Flamur Lenja hit a great ball. Oran Angjeli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ilmi Guxholli showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. Meard Rexhollari struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Edvin Todori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gjirokastra. Edvin Todori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meard Rexhollari in the 70th minute of play. Armand Tapa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Armand Tapa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 84 played minutes Arrën got a freekick which was hit by Julien Doda. Edvin Todori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erzen Biba in the 87th minute of the match. When Meard Rexhollari came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Gjirokastra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Meard Rexhollari couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Gjirokastra's Qemal Fejzo got a free kick in the 98th minute. Arrën's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
