Curtis Collingwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bob Leather in the 6th minute of the match. Bob Leather scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Curtis Collingwood, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Bob Leather cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Curtis Collingwood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 13th match minute, Skipton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Farmer to maneuver through the defense. In the 14th minute, Bradley Carlick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bradley Carlick's late challenge caught a Skipton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bradley Carlick helped the player get up and apologised. In the 18th minute Bob Leather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Curtis Collingwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Marston could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Curtis Collingwood made a huge save. 23 minutes into the match, Skipton's Kyle Ashton broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Skipton getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Christian Farmer hit a great ball. Kenny Way was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 26th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the match, Bradley Carlick had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Basil Cornish. Skipton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bradley Carlick was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Leroy Bensley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leroy Bensley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basil Cornish having to interfere. Curtis Collingwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Marston in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Leroy Bensley made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Patrick Marston had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Curtis Collingwood. Porto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick Marston was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. With a little luck, Skipton's Basil Cornish got control of the ball when Bradley Carlick tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bradley Carlick blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basil Cornish having to make a save. In the 65th minute, Shaun Horseman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Porto's Curtis Collingwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bob Leather in the 68th minute of play. With a little luck, Skipton's Basil Cornish got control of the ball when Bradley Carlick tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th match minute, Skipton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnnie Worth to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th match minute, Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradley Carlick to maneuver through the defense. If Leroy Bensley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Basil Cornish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shaun Horseman, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Basil Cornish was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Leroy Bensley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leroy Bensley really showed his touch with that goal: 4-3. Porto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
