CUX United's Jonny Myers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leroy Bensley in the 16th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Porto's Bradley Carlick got a free kick in the 17th minute. Porto's Curtis Collingwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Osbourne in the 18th minute of play. Leroy Bensley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leroy Bensley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shaun Horseman to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, CUX United's Jo Higginson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Curtis Collingwood narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bradley Carlick took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonny Myers. Jonny Myers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Leroy Bensley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jo Higginson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Curtis Collingwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 45 minutes into the match, Porto's goal looked a bit too open when Rupert Jefferson came free, but Curtis Collingwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leroy Bensley to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Porto got a freekick which was hit by Shaun Horseman. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leroy Bensley in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonny Myers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to CUX United getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Micheal Carpenter hit a great ball. Jonny Myers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bradley Carlick, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Martin Osbourne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bradley Carlick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonny Myers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd match minute, CUX United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Grant Featherstone to maneuver through the defense. Danny Davies received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Curtis Collingwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CUX United's zone, Verne Dawes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonny Myers came out of the goal and Verne Dawes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Martin Osbourne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Curtis Collingwood having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Porto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leroy Bensley to maneuver through the defense. Porto's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
