The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Kachovka:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Odesa:s goal. Valeriy Marynchuk struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Tykhon Levchenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Odesa. A collision led to Kachovka getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mykhaylo Stetsjko hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valeriy Marynchuk in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tykhon Levchenko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Pylyp Kramar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stepan Menyuk hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Pylyp Kramar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostyslav Rozlach having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Mykhaylo Stetsjko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Pylyp Kramar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 38 in the game by Pylyp Kramar from a close distance when the talented Rostyslav Rozlach managed to make a qualified save. Odesa's players were relieved. With a little luck, Odesa's Rostyslav Rozlach got control of the ball when Pylyp Kramar tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Ruslan Gurzhiy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pylyp Kramar was the one to do the kick off. Rostyslav Kravchuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rostyslav Rozlach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play.
