Rostyslav Semenenko came out of the goal and Danylo Misyaylo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Danylo Misyaylo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rostyslav Semenenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olexiy Chekhovskyi in the 19th minute of play. Bogdan Melnyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zakhar Koval in the 23rd minute of play forced Hajsyn FC's goalkeeper Mefodiy Matlash to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danylo Misyaylo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostyslav Semenenko having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vyshhorod FC's goalkeeper Rostyslav Semenenko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mefodiy Matlash made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zakhar Koval in the 30th minute of play. When Volodymyr Korol fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vyshhorod FC's protests and gave Volodymyr Korol a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vyshhorod FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. After taking down the ball on Hajsyn FC's corner Oleg Davydovych fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rostyslav Semenenko quite easily take care of the ball. Yevgen Vorobets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rostyslav Semenenko having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Anatoliy Kosovskyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vyshhorod FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anatoliy Kosovskyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mefodiy Matlash breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
