The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija's Tykhon Kazanyuk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lev Braila in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Hubka's goal looked a bit too open when Lev Kozenko came free, but Mykola Yesyp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yevgen Dukhno kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute Vladyslav Svintsitskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mykola Yesyp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tykhon Kazanyuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lev Braila in the 16th minute of the match. Mykyta Makhnovskyi charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mykyta Makhnovskyi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija's Lev Kozenko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 30 minutes into the game, Ivan Pyatov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mykola Yesyp prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kostyantyn Shmatchenko during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kostyantyn Shmatchenko hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lev Kozenko in the 36th minute of play forced Hubka's goalkeeper Mykola Yesyp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hubka's Ivan Pyatov got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Hubka's zone, Mykyta Makhnovskyi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mykola Yesyp came out of the goal and Mykyta Makhnovskyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hubka's Mykola Yesyp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vladyslav Svintsitskyi in the 41st minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Lev Kozenko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mykola Yesyp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 47 minutes, Ivan Pyatov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hubka's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ivan Pyatov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lev Braila was the one to do the kick off. If Lev Kozenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Lev Kozenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija's supporters rose to their feet, but Lev Kozenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mykola Yesyp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lev Kozenko struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Mykola Yesyp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija. A collision led to Hubka getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tymofiy Yanchuk hit a great ball. Mykola Yesyp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladyslav Svintsitskyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tykhon Kazanyuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Pyatov in the 74th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Demjan Gerasymyuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 83 minutes into the game, Lev Braila cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Tykhon Kazanyuk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija booed when Hubka was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Volodymyr Lazarchuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Pyatov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Tykhon Kazanyuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sewerodonezjk FC Tavrija's Tymofiy Martyschuk got a free kick in the 97th minute.
