Yevgen Nesmachnyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Illja Lebedynets having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Kyrylo Zgurskyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kaniv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kaniv the free kick. After a rather tough play, Kaniv's Kyrylo Zgurskyi got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyrylo Zgurskyi in the 9th minute of play forced Kaniv's goalkeeper Matviy Kornutyak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Illja Grycajuk fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kaniv's protests and gave Illja Grycajuk a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kaniv booed when Kaniv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Illja Grycajuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Yarema Galchuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute of the match Kaniv got a corner. Kaniv's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Valentyn Baglay ran over to the corner to take the kick. Kaniv's Valentyn Baglay was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Matviy Kornutyak in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Svyatoslav Potjkalo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Illja Lebedynets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svyatoslav Potjkalo in the 23rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Svyatoslav Potjkalo in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Illja Lebedynets prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 27th minute Yevgen Nesmachnyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illja Lebedynets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Demjan Rozgon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaniv's supporters rose to their feet, but Demjan Rozgon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matviy Kornutyak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ostap Buchko charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ostap Buchko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Kaniv! 42 minutes into the game, Svyatoslav Nadtochiy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Kaniv's Matviy Kornutyak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demjan Rozgon in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Kaniv's zone, Illja Pavliv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matviy Kornutyak came out of the goal and Illja Pavliv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Illja Pavliv in the 61st minute of play forced Kaniv's goalkeeper Matviy Kornutyak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 70 played minutes Kaniv got a freekick which was hit by Illja Pavliv. In the 73rd minute, Platon Kohanovskyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute Yevgen Nesmachnyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Illja Lebedynets saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matviy Kornutyak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Illja Pavliv, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Svyatoslav Potjkalo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kaniv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Svyatoslav Potjkalo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Kaniv's goal looked a bit too open when Illja Pavliv came free, but Matviy Kornutyak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Svyatoslav Potjkalo scored 1-1 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Illja Lebedynets, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Kaniv's Nazar Kostyshyn got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
