The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arkhyp Zhenyukh hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Marjan Dmytryjenko could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Roman Kovalevskyi made a huge save. Marjan Dmytryjenko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Roman Kovalevskyi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mefodiy Sydorenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Roman Kryoka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zakhar Kalynychenko charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zakhar Kalynychenko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute, Zakhar Kalynychenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Kryoka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsen Kononchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Lubny Dynamo's Mefodiy Sydorenko in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sorochynsk Naftovyk's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Sorochynsk Naftovyk getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Anton Omelianovych hit a great ball. Arsen Kononchenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Roman Kryoka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mefodiy Sydorenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lubny Dynamo getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Pavlo Kalynychenko hit a great ball. Arkhyp Zhenyukh kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. A hard shot 44 in the game by Marjan Dmytryjenko from a close distance when the talented Roman Kovalevskyi managed to make a qualified save. Lubny Dynamo's players were relieved. Sorochynsk Naftovyk's Marjan Dmytryjenko got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arsen Kononchenko to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Pavlo Kalynychenko took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Roman Kryoka to make any attempt to save it. Illja Balioz's late challenge caught a Lubny Dynamo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Illja Balioz helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Sorochynsk Naftovyk got a freekick which was hit by Illja Balioz. A hard shot by Arkhyp Zhenyukh from long distance, 58 minutes into the match, got Roman Kryoka's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Roman Kryoka didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. A hard shot 68 in the game by Mefodiy Sydorenko from a close distance when the talented Roman Kryoka managed to make a qualified save. Sorochynsk Naftovyk's players were relieved. In the 70th match minute, Sorochynsk Naftovyk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Omelianovych to maneuver through the defense. Roman Kryoka made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mefodiy Sydorenko in the 78th minute. Nazar Khoma kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The supporters of Lubny Dynamo booed when Sorochynsk Naftovyk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vsevolod Koziy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mefodiy Sydorenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Lubny Dynamo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lubny Dynamo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
