The audience was convinced that Maxym Sirko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodion Bykovets was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Valentyn Yavorskyi lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When the match had been going on for 23 minutes, Luhansjk FC Vorskla's Grygoriy Anischenko got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rodion Bykovets. Stanislav Maschenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yaroslav Korotya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Khust were awarded a corner. Vsevolod Braila went to the cornerflag to take it. After having played for 29 minutes, Symon Sheremet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khust's supporters crossed their fingers, but Symon Sheremet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Luhansjk FC Vorskla defense, Grygoriy Kavatsiv kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislav Maschenko. The Luhansjk FC Vorskla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislav Maschenko should have stopped the shot. If Vsevolod Braila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodion Bykovets showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dmytro Zhak in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Rodion Bykovets showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxym Sirko, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. After having played for 54 minutes, Yaroslav Korotya managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Khust's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaroslav Korotya was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Khust's Rodion Bykovets played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mykhaylo Lazarovych in the 66th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Mykhaylo Lazarovych got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Grygoriy Anischenko, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mykhaylo Lazarovych kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Khust's goal looked a bit too open when Dmytro Zhak came free, but Rodion Bykovets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Khust getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Demjan Osarchuk hit a great ball. If Yaroslav Korotya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Grygoriy Kavatsiv had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Khust's goal looked a bit too open when Maxym Sirko came free, but Rodion Bykovets reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Khust's Yaroslav Korotya got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
