After 4 played minutes Armjansjk got a freekick which was hit by Kostyantyn Brotskyi. After 6 played minutes Armjansjk got a freekick which was hit by Mykola Pershyn. Nazar Serdyuk, 7 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. A collision led to Armjansjk getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Yakiv Shlyk hit a great ball. Nazariy Bodnya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute Nazariy Bodnya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Andrienko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, Armjansjk's Danylo Golub nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Illja Kundenok made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Illja Kundenok stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kostyantyn Brotskyi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After recieving a nice pass, NowyjRosdil FC Metalist's Nazar Serdyuk tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. NowyjRosdil FC Metalist's Illja Kundenok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danylo Golub in the 34th minute of play. If Yarema Getjman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 38 minutes, Stanislav Andrienko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Stanislav Andrienko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nazariy Bodnya, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. During the 42nd minute of the match Rostyslav Goldin completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rostyslav Goldin a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 43 played minutes NowyjRosdil FC Metalist got a freekick which was hit by Rostyslav Goldin. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yakiv Shlyk during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Armjansjk got a freekick which was hit by Yakiv Shlyk. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Yarema Getjman managed to get in a good position for a shot. NowyjRosdil FC Metalist's supporters rose to their feet, but Yarema Getjman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stanislav Andrienko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yarema Getjman to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Fedir Gryschuk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Armjansjk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NowyjRosdil FC Metalist the free kick. Fedir Gryschuk hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Stanislav Andrienko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yarema Getjman in the 53rd minute of the match. If Yarema Getjman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 57 minutes into the match, Armjansjk's goal looked a bit too open when Vladyslav Gavrylenko came free, but Stanislav Andrienko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Danylo Golub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Yarema Getjman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of NowyjRosdil FC Metalist booed when Armjansjk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedir Gryschuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yarema Getjman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danylo Golub fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Illja Kundenok having to interfere. When Danylo Golub came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Armjansjk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danylo Golub couldn't finish the play. Illja Kundenok made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kostyantyn Brotskyi in the 92nd minute. The Armjansjk supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Armjansjk would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
