When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Vitaliy Golub took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Illja Kundenok to make any attempt to save it. Roman Dmytrulin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladyslav Gavrylenko in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, NowyjRosdil FC Metalist's goal looked a bit too open when Nazar Matviychuk came free, but Illja Kundenok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to NowyjRosdil FC Metalist getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gennadiy Lobanovsjkyi hit a great ball. If Vitaliy Golub had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valeriy Yalanskyi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 29 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Rivne's zone, Nazar Serdyuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roman Dmytrulin came out of the goal and Nazar Serdyuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Rivne defense, Nazariy Bodnya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Dmytrulin. The Rivne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Dmytrulin should have stopped the shot. Roman Dmytrulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladyslav Gavrylenko in the 36th minute of the match. Roman Dmytrulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rostyslav Goldin, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Roman Dmytrulin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazariy Bodnya in the 43rd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Vitaliy Golub made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in NowyjRosdil FC Metalist's zone, Yarema Matyyuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Illja Kundenok came out of the goal and Yarema Matyyuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the match, Nazariy Bodnya dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Roman Dmytrulin, 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yarema Getjman got free with Roman Dmytrulin in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the match, Rivne's goalkeeper Roman Dmytrulin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rostyslav Goldin. Roman Dmytrulin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rostyslav Goldin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in NowyjRosdil FC Metalist fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! Danylo Smalko shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Illja Kundenok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yarema Matyyuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Rivne's Vitaliy Golub sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Illja Kundenok narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Nazariy Bodnya came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the NowyjRosdil FC Metalist fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazariy Bodnya couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd minute Rostyslav Goldin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Dmytrulin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rivne's Danylo Maznytsja got a free kick in the 89th minute. After some careless play in the Rivne defense, Nazariy Bodnya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Dmytrulin. The Rivne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Dmytrulin should have stopped the shot. Nazar Matviychuk kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Rivne fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. NowyjRosdil FC Metalist were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
