Tymofiy Maznytsja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Tykhon Ivakhnyuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Vitaliy Sokolenko made a huge save. 47 minutes into the game, Yaroslav Yatlenko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mefodiy Dotsenko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petro Kovalevskyi to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Donetsjk FC Dnipro's goal looked a bit too open when Tykhon Ivakhnyuk came free, but Vitaliy Sokolenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 54 minutes into the game, Vasyl Balanchuk was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vitaliy Sokolenko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donetsjk FC Dnipro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yaroslav Yatlenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tymofiy Maznytsja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vitaliy Sokolenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Tymofiy Maznytsja ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitaliy Sokolenko was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
