In the 16th minute, Olexiy Stasovskyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marko Sydorskyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stepan Lystopad kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Volochysjk FC Metalurg's Marko Sydorskyi was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 26th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Stepan Kozubskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Olexiy Stasovskyi struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Mefodiy Oschypko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Volochysjk FC Metalurg. Mefodiy Oschypko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Sydorskyi in the 37th minute of the match. Volochysjk FC Metalurg's Kostyantyn Kucher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yakiv Baglay in the 45th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marko Sydorskyi was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Leonid Kozhemyachenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Motor ZP and the Volochysjk FC Metalurg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Volochysjk FC Metalurg's goalkeeper Kostyantyn Kucher, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Motor ZP's Mefodiy Oschypko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Sydorskyi in the 60th minute of play. Yakiv Baglay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kostyantyn Kucher having to interfere. Mefodiy Oschypko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olexiy Stasovskyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Motor ZP's Pavlo Sheremet got a free kick in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valentyn Tsyperdyuk during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Olexiy Stasovskyi hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Olexiy Stasovskyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mefodiy Oschypko having to interfere. Mefodiy Oschypko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Krytskyi in the 87th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Motor ZP players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Volochysjk FC Metalurg.
