The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mykyta Khalyavka during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ostap Skomorokha's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Symon Yanevych skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Zakhar Ilyuk struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Symon Yanevych didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pavlohrad. After 15 minutes, Vadym Kovalyuk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saky FC Shakhtar and the Pavlohrad players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Saky FC Shakhtar getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Vadym Kovalyuk hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, Tymur Pavlyuchenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Saky FC Shakhtar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Symon Yanevych didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ostap Skomorokha went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. When Ostap Skomorokha came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Pavlohrad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ostap Skomorokha couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Pavlohrad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Petro Ovramenko to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Saky FC Shakhtar's Petro Gandzyuk broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tymur Pavlyuchenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Yuriy Golubenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yuriy Golubenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yakiv Jakovenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yakiv Jakovenko to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Myroslav Poterukha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Yakiv Jakovenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute, Zakhar Ilyuk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Symon Yanevych was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 64 minutes into the match, Saky FC Shakhtar's goal looked a bit too open when Ostap Skomorokha came free, but Symon Yanevych reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Saky FC Shakhtar booed when Pavlohrad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petro Ovramenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute, Tymur Pavlyuchenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tymur Pavlyuchenko struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Yuriy Golubenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saky FC Shakhtar. Yakiv Jakovenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yakiv Jakovenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Symon Yanevych took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zakhar Ilyuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Pavlohrad getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Yaroslav Tistyk hit a great ball. The Pavlohrad players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
