When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tymur Pitsyk sped through Ivano-Frankivsjk's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivan Yatlenko. In the 25th minute of the match Yakiv Mintenko shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ivan Yatlenko showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ivano-Frankivsjk's Ivan Yatlenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tymur Pitsyk in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ivano-Frankivsjk's zone, Tymur Pitsyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivan Yatlenko came out of the goal and Tymur Pitsyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Maxym Krayivsjkyi fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ivano-Frankivsjk's protests and gave Maxym Krayivsjkyi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ivano-Frankivsjk getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Maxym Krayivsjkyi hit a great ball. If Olexiy Puchka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Umanj FC Arsenal were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Volodymyr Rakovytsja stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Svyatoslav Sklyarenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Umanj FC Arsenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Svyatoslav Sklyarenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Yatlenko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Tymur Pitsyk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Ivan Yatlenko managed to avoid a goal in the 80thth minute, when Umanj FC Arsenal's Volodymyr Rakovytsja fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maxym Krayivsjkyi hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Volodymyr Rakovytsja in the 84thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivan Yatlenko, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Ivano-Frankivsjk's Illja Smolyarchuk got a free kick in the 89th minute.
