Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Viktor Popovchenko kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes in the game, Tymur Polovkov fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Viktor Yaschenko having to interfere. Artur Shulga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Sokyrka in the 11th minute of play. Viktor Yaschenko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viktor Popovchenko's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Viktor Yaschenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viktor Popovchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Viktor Yaschenko made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tymur Polovkov in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Mykola Musiyko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match Vasyl Lazarovych sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Viktor Yaschenko skillfully saved the ball. In the 36th minute Viktor Popovchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Viktor Yaschenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Komsomoljsjk FC Dnipro booed when Novomoskovsjk FC Shakhtar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arkhyp Prizetko didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasyl Pryadko hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Artur Shulga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vyacheslav Sokyrka in the 42nd minute of the match. Artur Shulga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyrylo Grynchyshyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vyacheslav Sokyrka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Valentyn Gurskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Vasyl Lazarovych was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 53rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Tymur Polovkov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Yaschenko came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Novomoskovsjk FC Shakhtar's Tymur Polovkov. But to his dismay, Tymur Polovkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Viktor Yaschenko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Popovchenko in the 65th minute of play. Artur Shulga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vyacheslav Sokyrka in the 71st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Komsomoljsjk FC Dnipro's zone, Tymur Polovkov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viktor Yaschenko came out of the goal and Tymur Polovkov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vyacheslav Sokyrka got free with Artur Shulga in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Viktor Yaschenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tymur Polovkov in the 85th minute of the match. Tymur Polovkov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Viktor Yaschenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Viktor Popovchenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Yaschenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Popovchenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Tymur Polovkov came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Novomoskovsjk FC Shakhtar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tymur Polovkov couldn't finish the play. Komsomoljsjk FC Dnipro's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
