Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leonid Vaschuk took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Melitopolj FC Metalurg's goal looked a bit too open when Andriy Androsenko came free, but Tymur Cheberyachko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th match minute, Melitopolj FC Metalurg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lyubomyr Kovalenko to maneuver through the defense. Lyubomyr Kovalenko hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 6 played minutes, FC Mariupol's Anatoliy Kychak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tymur Cheberyachko came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Mariupol reached it. Tymur Cheberyachko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Vaschuk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tykhon Pavlyuchenko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andriy Androsenko in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tymur Cheberyachko prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tymur Cheberyachko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonid Vaschuk in the 15th minute of the match. Leonid Vaschuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tymur Cheberyachko having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Andriy Androsenko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tymur Cheberyachko was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andriy Androsenko in the 24th minute of play forced Melitopolj FC Metalurg's goalkeeper Tymur Cheberyachko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 26 played minutes FC Mariupol got a freekick which was hit by Pylyp Gonchar. In the 28th minute Melitopolj FC Metalurg were awarded a corner. Arkhyp Teplyi went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Melitopolj FC Metalurg's Arkhyp Teplyi to fire away a dangerous shot which Zdzislaw Radzyminski despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Leonid Vaschuk scored 0-1 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tymur Cheberyachko, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 38th match minute, FC Mariupol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonid Vaschuk to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Zdzislaw Radzyminski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 46th minute Tykhon Pavlyuchenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Radzyminski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Tykhon Pavlyuchenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leonid Vaschuk came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the FC Mariupol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonid Vaschuk couldn't finish the play. Zakhar Anischenko hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Andriy Androsenko came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the FC Mariupol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andriy Androsenko couldn't finish the play. Leonid Vaschuk was extremely unlucky when he, in the 64th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vsevolod Zbarakh took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tymur Cheberyachko. Melitopolj FC Metalurg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tymur Cheberyachko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonid Vaschuk in the 67th minute of play. Leonid Vaschuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tymur Cheberyachko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Andriy Androsenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Mariupol fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 74 minutes into the game, Lyubomyr Kovalenko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melitopolj FC Metalurg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Mariupol the free kick. The supporters of FC Mariupol booed when Melitopolj FC Metalurg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lyubomyr Kovalenko didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leonid Vaschuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tymur Cheberyachko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonid Vaschuk in the 87th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Melitopolj FC Metalurg's zone, Andriy Androsenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tymur Cheberyachko came out of the goal and Andriy Androsenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Kyrylo Yatlenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melitopolj FC Metalurg's supporters rose to their feet, but Kyrylo Yatlenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zdzislaw Radzyminski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Mariupol's zone, Tykhon Pavlyuchenko stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zdzislaw Radzyminski came out of the goal and Tykhon Pavlyuchenko tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Mariupol's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
