Dniprorudne FC's Ruslan Buchko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriy Zakarlyuka in the 12th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Dniprorudne FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriy Zakarlyuka came free, but Ruslan Buchko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruslan Buchko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marjan Kikot in the 16th minute of play. Marjan Kikot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruslan Buchko having to interfere. Ruslan Buchko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mykhaylo Siletskyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruslan Buchko didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valeriy Zakarlyuka went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Ruslan Buchko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valeriy Zakarlyuka in the 30th minute of play. Ruslan Buchko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marjan Kikot, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Kilija's goalkeeper Vasyl Sokolyanskyi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Olexandr Gorodovichenko charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olexandr Gorodovichenko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, Kilija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olexandr Gorodovichenko to maneuver through the defense. Grygoriy Chepura took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vasyl Sokolyanskyi. Kilija's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match, Arnoldo Inko tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Vasyl Sokolyanskyi saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 46th minute, Denys Nivinskyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dniprorudne FC's Arnoldo Inko got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Kilija were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Valeriy Zakarlyuka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Ruslan Buchko made a huge save. Ruslan Buchko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marjan Kikot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Kilija's Marjan Kikot got a free kick in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Anatoliy Leontovych's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vasyl Sokolyanskyi was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Kilija were furious when Mykhaylo Lemishevskyi was red carded, 74 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Kilija's Igor Shukatka couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dniprorudne FC. Vasyl Sokolyanskyi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Inko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Olexandr Gorodovichenko notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Dniprorudne FC's Ruslan Buchko. Ruslan Buchko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 88th minute, Yuriy Rak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olexandr Gorodovichenko got free with Ruslan Buchko in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
