After 2 minutes, Vladyslav Latenko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd and the Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rdth minute of the game Volodymyr Tkachuk who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd's Anatoliy Kundenok was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Danylo Yatchuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Kucheruk having to interfere. If Yarema Schastlyvyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Oleg Starostyak fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg's protests and gave Oleg Starostyak a yellow card for diving instead. After 14 played minutes Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg got a freekick which was hit by Oleg Starostyak. F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd's Panas Vovkodav was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Igor Kucheruk in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Danylo Yatchuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Igor Kucheruk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Danylo Yatchuk came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danylo Yatchuk couldn't finish the play. Volodymyr Tkachuk struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Anatoliy Kundenok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg. 39 minutes into the match, F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd's goal looked a bit too open when Volodymyr Tkachuk came free, but Anatoliy Kundenok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Volodymyr Tkachuk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anatoliy Kundenok. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Danylo Yatchuk struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Igor Kucheruk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Danylo Yatchuk made a kick off. F.C. OLIMPIK Kirovograd's Anatoliy Kundenok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kostyantyn Klochko in the 51st minute of play. Oleg Starostyak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Volodymyr Tkachuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg's Anatoliy Semenjaka broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anatoliy Kernozenko during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st minute, Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Danylo Yatchuk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Yarema Schastlyvyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bachchysaraj FC Metalurg's supporters rose to their feet, but Yarema Schastlyvyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anatoliy Kundenok breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Volodymyr Tkachuk in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anatoliy Kundenok prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Volodymyr Tkachuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute.
