Tymur Fedetskyi came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Drosdowychi Metalist's Arsen Perekolyanovych. But to his dismay, Arsen Perekolyanovych quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 25 played minutes Syneljnykove got a freekick which was hit by Igor Gryschenko. Tymur Fedetskyi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vitaliy Zapoyasko went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Arsen Perekolyanovych struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Tymur Fedetskyi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drosdowychi Metalist. When Nazariy Kryklyvyj came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Syneljnykove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nazariy Kryklyvyj couldn't finish the play. The Syneljnykove players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Drosdowychi Metalist were winning 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andriy Mykhalyk to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andriy Mykhalyk in the 53rd minute of play forced Drosdowychi Metalist's goalkeeper Grygoriy Nechay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arsen Perekolyanovych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 59 played minutes Vitaliy Zapoyasko rounded Syneljnykove's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Drosdowychi Metalist's Grygoriy Nechay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nazariy Kryklyvyj in the 66th minute of play. When Drosdowychi Metalist's Vitaliy Zapoyasko in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Syneljnykove's goalie prevented a goal. Vitaliy Zapoyasko had several of the Syneljnykove's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Tymur Fedetskyi as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Arsen Perekolyanovych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 1-6 when Arsen Perekolyanovych sped through Syneljnykove's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tymur Fedetskyi. After 89 played minutes Drosdowychi Metalist got a freekick which was hit by Petro Rudnytskyi. The supporters of Drosdowychi Metalist booed when Syneljnykove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pavlo Viter didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arsen Perekolyanovych got free with Tymur Fedetskyi in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vitaliy Zapoyasko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Tymur Fedetskyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Drosdowychi Metalist's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
