The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valentyn Tsapiy kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Real Odessa's Marko Sapay got control of the ball when Artem Klymenko tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Real Odessa's goalkeeper Marko Sapay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fedir Karyaka. 15 minutes into the game, Horodenka FC Metalurg's Artem Klymenko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marko Sapay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Marko Sapay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panas Chekhovskyi in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Horodenka FC Metalurg booed when Real Odessa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodion Kryvobok didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Odessa were furious when Arkhyp Sklyarenko was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Olexandr Konyushenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demjan Dopilka in the 29th minute of the match. When Fedir Karyaka fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Horodenka FC Metalurg's protests and gave Fedir Karyaka a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Horodenka FC Metalurg's Fedir Karyaka got a free kick in the 29th minute. Demjan Dopilka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olexandr Konyushenko having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Demjan Dopilka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olexandr Konyushenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Horodenka FC Metalurg's goal looked a bit too open when Gilbert Dynda came free, but Olexandr Konyushenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gilbert Dynda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olexandr Konyushenko was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Marko Sapay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Sobetskyi in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Real Odessa's Rodion Kryvobok got a free kick in the 44th minute. Artem Klymenko's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marko Sapay firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 47th minute Marko Sobetskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Sapay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marko Sobetskyi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Marko Sobetskyi, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 52 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Marko Sapay was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Real Odessa's goal looked a bit too open when Artem Klymenko came free, but Marko Sapay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Real Odessa's goal looked a bit too open when Marko Sobetskyi came free, but Marko Sapay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olexandr Konyushenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilbert Dynda, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Demjan Dopilka took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olexandr Konyushenko. Olexandr Konyushenko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Marko Sapay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Sobetskyi in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute Artem Klymenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Sapay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilbert Dynda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 minutes of play, Horodenka FC Metalurg's Marko Sobetskyi made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marko Sapay was left in no man's land by his defense there! Marko Sapay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marko Sobetskyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horodenka FC Metalurg's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
