Iwano-Frankivsk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Snizhne Dynamo the free kick. In the 15th minute, Dmytro Draniv hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Mykola Medvid's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matviy Bashlay was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Matviy Bashlay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mykola Medvid in the 52nd minute of play. Vsevolod Lebidj hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Viktor Kavinskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. When Oleg Osarchuk came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Iwano-Frankivsk fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oleg Osarchuk couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Snizhne Dynamo's zone, Dmytro Draniv stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladyslav Vyshnyak came out of the goal and Dmytro Draniv tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Snizhne Dynamo's Kostyantyn Bilyk got a free kick in the 90th minute. Mykola Medvid's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matviy Bashlay read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. Snizhne Dynamo were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Iwano-Frankivsk's much stronger midfield.
