The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lev Korolchuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Leonid Rak made a huge save. Stanislav Melnychuk's late challenge caught a SERGEI FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stanislav Melnychuk helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Shepetivka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stanislav Melnychuk to maneuver through the defense. Roman Syrotyuk hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Shepetivka's Ivan Korol couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SERGEI FC. When Gavrylo Sovenko came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Shepetivka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gavrylo Sovenko couldn't finish the play. Mykola Vovchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mykola Vovchuk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Leonid Rak made a huge save. After 33 minutes, Ivan Korol mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shepetivka and the SERGEI FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Shepetivka! After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Symon Tarasenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shepetivka's supporters rose to their feet, but Symon Tarasenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavlo Gay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, SERGEI FC's Matviy Schastlyvyi got a free kick in the 44th minute. If Symon Tarasenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gavrylo Sovenko was the one to do the kick off. Gavrylo Sovenko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Pavlo Gay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavrylo Sovenko in the 71st minute of play forced SERGEI FC's goalkeeper Pavlo Gay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SERGEI FC's Pavlo Gay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavrylo Sovenko in the 72nd minute of play. Pavlo Gay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavrylo Sovenko in the 73rd minute of the match. Shepetivka's Gavrylo Sovenko got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Shepetivka getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Arkhyp Voloshyn hit a great ball. SERGEI FC's Roman Syrotyuk got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
