But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stepan Pavlyk couldn't finish the play. Nijschankvychy FC Metalist's Denys Konovalov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svyatoslav Baranovskyi in the 54th minute of play. Nijschankvychy FC Metalist's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stepan Pavlyk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 70 minutes, Arkhyp Krukovets mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Panama FC and the Nijschankvychy FC Metalist players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Panama FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nijschankvychy FC Metalist's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuriy Romanets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tymofiy Dankiv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th match minute, Panama FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiy Gaydamaka to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Panama FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
