The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Denys Berezovchuk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Maxym Maxymyuk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ladyzhyn's Viktor Sydorenko got a free kick in the 6th minute. The supporters of Ladyzhyn booed when Uzhgorod was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gennadiy Nakonechnyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maxym Maxymyuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arsen Chernyshenko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maxym Romanenko during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Ladyzhyn got a freekick which was hit by Maxym Romanenko. In the 21st minute, Ladyzhyn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gennadiy Nakonechnyi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Yuriy Baranets fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakiv Redushko having to interfere. After 32 played minutes Ladyzhyn got a freekick which was hit by Viktor Sydorenko. If Arsen Chernyshenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 38 in the game by Gennadiy Nakonechnyi from a close distance when the talented Yakiv Redushko managed to make a qualified save. Ladyzhyn's players were relieved. Taras Solodkyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Arsen Chernyshenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 47 minutes, Yuriy Baranets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uzhgorod's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yuriy Baranets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arsen Chernyshenko stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Yuriy Baranets who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ladyzhyn's Yakiv Redushko was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arsen Chernyshenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gennadiy Nakonechnyi in the 58th minute of play forced Ladyzhyn's goalkeeper Yakiv Redushko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yakiv Redushko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gennadiy Nakonechnyi in the 60th minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Viktor Negara shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yakiv Redushko showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the game, Viktor Sydorenko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ladyzhyn's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uzhgorod the free kick. In the 73rd minute, Viktor Sydorenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladyzhyn's Maxym Romanenko got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. The referee ordered Maxym Romanenko off the ground. In the 75th minute, Maxym Romanenko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxym Maxymyuk made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Taras Solodkyi sent off a good shot on target. 82 minutes into the game, Uzhgorod's Gennadiy Nakonechnyi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yakiv Redushko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. In the 90th minute, Yuriy Baranets got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arsen Chernyshenko during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Uzhgorod fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ladyzhyn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
