After 8 played minutes Hadjach FC Metalist got a freekick which was hit by Petro Bondarchuk. The audience was convinced that Svyatoslav Checher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eduard Muzychuk was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 14th minute Olexiy Shevel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduard Muzychuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olexiy Shevel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eduard Muzychuk having to make a save. Olexiy Shevel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduard Muzychuk having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Demjan Dorosh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 24th minute, Svyatoslav Checher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduard Muzychuk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olexiy Shevel went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Hadjach FC Metalist's goal looked a bit too open when Svyatoslav Checher came free, but Eduard Muzychuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olexiy Shevel struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Eduard Muzychuk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ternopilj FC Tavrija. Eduard Muzychuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svyatoslav Checher in the 35th minute of the match. Hadjach FC Metalist's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olexiy Shevel to make the kick off. Eduard Muzychuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olexiy Shevel, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Danylo Portyanko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Svyatoslav Checher got free with Eduard Muzychuk in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Danylo Portyanko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svyatoslav Maruschak having to interfere. Anatoliy Lysenko kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Svyatoslav Maruschak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyrylo Chyzhevskyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Kyrylo Chyzhevskyi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hadjach FC Metalist's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ternopilj FC Tavrija the free kick. Eduard Muzychuk made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Svyatoslav Checher sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danylo Portyanko in the 83rd minute of play forced Ternopilj FC Tavrija's goalkeeper Svyatoslav Maruschak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kyrylo Chyzhevskyi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Svyatoslav Maruschak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Hadjach FC Metalist defense, Svyatoslav Checher kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduard Muzychuk. The Hadjach FC Metalist fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduard Muzychuk should have stopped the shot. When Olexiy Shevel came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ternopilj FC Tavrija fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olexiy Shevel couldn't finish the play. If Danylo Portyanko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Ternopilj FC Tavrija left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hadjach FC Metalist.
