In the 8th minute, Ruslan Rozgon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maxym Khovbosha might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergiy Vitiv. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxym Khovbosha ran back to his position shaking his head. Pylyp Zdebskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Nowomoskowsk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostyantyn Denysovets to maneuver through the defense. Panas Korotkyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Nowomoskowsk's Illja Makoviy in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Melitopolj's goalie prevented a goal. Maxym Khovbosha struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Sergiy Vitiv didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nowomoskowsk. Illja Makoviy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Sergiy Vitiv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergiy Vitiv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxym Khovbosha in the 43rd minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The wind increased when Borys Vovkodav made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Nowomoskowsk defense, Panas Korotkyi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mykhaylo Kyrychenko. The Nowomoskowsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mykhaylo Kyrychenko should have stopped the shot. Illja Makoviy in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sergiy Vitiv, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nowomoskowsk's Mykhaylo Kyrychenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Borys Vovkodav in the 70th minute of play. After 84 minutes, Maxym Khovbosha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nowomoskowsk and the Melitopolj players grew even worse after the yellow card. Maxym Khovbosha kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Borys Vovkodav struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Melitopolj's supporters crossed their fingers, but Borys Vovkodav was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Melitopolj booed when Nowomoskowsk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruslan Rozgon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute Borys Vovkodav shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mykhaylo Kyrychenko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nowomoskowsk's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
