The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Vadym Demydenko came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Zhytomyr FC Vorskla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vadym Demydenko couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Ostap Kogut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Rymshyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute Ostap Kogut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Rymshyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ostap Kogut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanislav Rymshyn having to interfere. Ostap Kogut received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Stanislav Rymshyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andriy Kovalevskyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Dekhtyaruk in the 24th minute of play. After 27 played minutes, Zhytomyr FC Vorskla's Artur Guryn shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andriy Kovalevskyi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zhytomyr FC Vorskla reached it. Andriy Kovalevskyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vadym Demydenko in the 28th minute of play. Stanislav Rymshyn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ostap Kogut showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 30 minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Ostap Kogut recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Stanislav Rymshyn. Ostap Kogut showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pylyp Pavlyuk during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 42nd minute, Pylyp Pavlyuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Zhytomyr FC Vorskla getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Demjan Vershynin hit a great ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ostap Kogut was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Zhytomyr FC Vorskla's goal looked a bit too open when Ostap Kogut came free, but Stanislav Rymshyn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Zhytomyr FC Vorskla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anatoliy Perekolyanovych to maneuver through the defense. Ostap Kogut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Zhytomyr FC Vorskla's Anatoliy Perekolyanovych got a free kick in the 55th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Kalynivka's goal looked a bit too open when Vadym Demydenko came free, but Andriy Kovalevskyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Ostap Kogut shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanislav Rymshyn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute, Borys Siletskyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 69 minutes, Vadym Demydenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zhytomyr FC Vorskla's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vadym Demydenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zhytomyr FC Vorskla's Stanislav Rymshyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ostap Kogut in the 72nd minute of play. If Ostap Kogut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andriy Kovalevskyi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vadym Demydenko's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zhytomyr FC Vorskla's goalkeeper Stanislav Rymshyn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andriy Kovalevskyi made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Ivan Dekhtyaruk sent off a good shot on target. Stanislav Rymshyn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dmytro Solodkyi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Kalynivka's Andriy Kovalevskyi got control of the ball when Ivan Dekhtyaruk tried to sneak it across the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zhytomyr FC Vorskla players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Kalynivka.
