Anton Polyovyi scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arsen Fedoruk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 16th minute Orest Muravskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arsen Fedoruk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kyrylo Sobetskyis short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Roman Mintenko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Roman Mintenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Myroslav Jakovenko in the 25th minute of the match. Myroslav Jakovenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Mintenko having to interfere. Oleg Lobanovsjkyi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Mintenko having to make a save. Roman Mintenko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Myroslav Jakovenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Myroslav Jakovenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eduard Gabovda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsen Fedoruk having to interfere. After the first half Tschornobyl were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anton Polyovyi to strike the kick off in the second half. If Eduard Gabovda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute, Kyrylo Sobetskyi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anton Polyovyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arsen Fedoruk having to interfere. Eduard Gabovda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Anton Polyovyi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arsen Fedoruk. That made the score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Tschornobyl's goal looked a bit too open when Kyrylo Sobetskyi came free, but Roman Mintenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tschornobyl's Roman Mintenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyrylo Sobetskyi in the 78th minute of play. The supporters of Tschornobyl booed when Lviv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yevgen Polovkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eduard Gabovda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 85 minutes, Anton Polyovyi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tschornobyl's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anton Polyovyi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tschornobyl's Anton Polyovyi got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Myroslav Jakovenko in the 89th minute of play forced Tschornobyl's goalkeeper Roman Mintenko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anton Polyovyi struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Arsen Fedoruk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tschornobyl. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Myroslav Jakovenko in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Mintenko saved Tschornobyl from getting behind. Tschornobyl's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
