Ivan Prodan ran back to his position shaking his head. Igor Ksyonz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruslan Lyakhovych in the 39th minute of play. Olexiy Kalapach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Igor Ksyonz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Viljnohirsjk FC Stalj players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brody Metalurg were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Demjan Lukashuk to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Brody Metalurg's goal looked a bit too open when Olexiy Skorobrekh came free, but Nazar Solovonyuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olexiy Skorobrekh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruslan Lyakhovych fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Ksyonz having to interfere. If Demjan Lukashuk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
