After 3 played minutes Romny FC Zoria got a freekick which was hit by Orest Bodnya. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yaroslav Yanchuk in the 5th minute of play forced Romny FC Zoria's goalkeeper Mykhaylo Kovalyuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yaroslav Yanchuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Mykhaylo Kovalyuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gavrylo Slavik fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romny FC Zoria's protests and gave Gavrylo Slavik a yellow card for diving instead. Gavrylo Slavik kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Romny FC Zoria defense, Gennadiy Dzyuba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mykhaylo Kovalyuk. The Romny FC Zoria fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mykhaylo Kovalyuk should have stopped the shot. Yaroslav Yanchuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. In the 26th minute of the game, Danylo Tarasenko landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Orest Bodnya's late challenge caught a Starij-Sambir FC Dnipro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Orest Bodnya helped the player get up and apologised. Nazar Kozyrskyi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mykhaylo Kovalyuk having to interfere. Zakhar Poterukha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Yaroslav Kosyrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Starij-Sambir FC Dnipro's goalkeeper Yaroslav Kosyrin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zakhar Poterukha. In the 39th minute, Gennadiy Dzyuba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Romny FC Zoria's zone, Gennadiy Dzyuba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mykhaylo Kovalyuk came out of the goal and Gennadiy Dzyuba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gavrylo Slavik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Yaroslav Kosyrin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mefodiy Luchkevych stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Romny FC Zoria booed when Starij-Sambir FC Dnipro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazar Kozyrskyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yaroslav Kosyrin didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Romny FC Zoria's Mefodiy Luchkevych shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 61st minute Mefodiy Luchkevych shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yaroslav Kosyrin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mefodiy Luchkevych sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yaroslav Kosyrin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mefodiy Luchkevych in the 68th minute of play. Gennadiy Dzyuba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Mykhaylo Kovalyuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gennadiy Dzyuba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mykhaylo Kovalyuk having to interfere. Yaroslav Kosyrin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zakhar Poterukha's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Yaroslav Yanchuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Mykhaylo Kovalyuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
