In the 6th minute, Tschornobyl FC Vorskla's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Myroslav Gibalyuk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriy Kripak in the 9th minute of play forced Tschornobyl FC Vorskla's goalkeeper Olexiy Gamaliy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Volodymyr Staruschenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tykhon Koloda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy's Volodymyr Staruschenko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tykhon Koloda in the 36th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Olexiy Gamaliy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A collision led to Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Eduard Konoplyanka hit a great ball. Myroslav Gibalyuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olexiy Gamaliy having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Myroslav Gibalyuk could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which Olexiy Gamaliy however easily saved by the left post. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valeriy Kripak made a kick off. Tykhon Koloda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Volodymyr Staruschenko having to make a save. In the 57th minute, Tykhon Koloda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute, Valeriy Kripak got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Tschornobyl FC Vorskla's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriy Kripak came free, but Olexiy Gamaliy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th match minute, Tschornobyl FC Vorskla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oleg Slobodyan to maneuver through the defense. When Tykhon Koloda came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Tschornobyl FC Vorskla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tykhon Koloda couldn't finish the play. When Pylyp Dzyuba fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy's protests and gave Pylyp Dzyuba a yellow card for diving instead. 76 minutes into the game, one of Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a rather tough play, Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy's Stanislav Snitko got a free kick in the 87th minute. Tschornobyl FC Vorskla's Marko Illyaschuk got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Myroslav Gibalyuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olexiy Gamaliy having to interfere. Myroslav Gibalyuk struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Olexiy Gamaliy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy. The Alchevsjk Trudovi Rezervy manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Tschornobyl FC Vorskla to win.
