Orest Shpak kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 4 minutes into the game, Eduard Lytvynchuk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Olexiy Olexandriv was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11th minute, Valentyn Shevel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 14th minute, Valentyn Shevel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Stepan Lazarchuk. The goal made the score 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Polonne's zone, Eduard Lytvynchuk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olexiy Olexandriv came out of the goal and Eduard Lytvynchuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Shumak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olexiy Olexandriv having to interfere. Olexiy Olexandriv made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Lytvynchuk in the 26th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Igor Shumak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horodenka's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Shumak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olexiy Olexandriv breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 31 minutes into the game, Orest Shpak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Polonne's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horodenka the free kick. In the 32nd minute there was a penalty for Horodenka. Matviy Dvoryanenko stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Olexiy Olexandriv. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Shumak in the 35th minute of play forced Polonne's goalkeeper Olexiy Olexandriv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduard Lytvynchuk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Olexiy Olexandriv tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Igor Shumak came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Horodenka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Igor Shumak couldn't finish the play.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vladyslav Zgurskyi made a kick off. Svyatoslav Romanenko took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stepan Lazarchuk. Stepan Lazarchuk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Svyatoslav Romanenko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stepan Lazarchuk having to make a save. 59 minutes into the match, Horodenka's goal looked a bit too open when Vladyslav Zgurskyi came free, but Stepan Lazarchuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eduard Lytvynchuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olexiy Olexandriv read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, Vladyslav Zgurskyi made a precise shot to the right of Stepan Lazarchuk. Horodenka's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Svyatoslav Romanenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Polonne's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
