After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Yuriy Scherbyna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Umanj Metalurg's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuriy Scherbyna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zakhar Polyovyi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tymofiy Ivanchenko, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 25th minute, Gavrylo Kryvoshyjenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavrylo Kryvoshyjenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zakhar Polyovyi having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Horlivka's goal looked a bit too open when Yuriy Scherbyna came free, but Zakhar Polyovyi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th minute Grygoriy Korobka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Platon Galun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artem Kucheruk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Platon Galun having to interfere. When Horlivka's Grygoriy Korobka in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Umanj Metalurg's goalie prevented a goal. 45 minutes into the match, Horlivka's goalkeeper Zakhar Polyovyi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gavrylo Kryvoshyjenko. Yuriy Scherbyna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zakhar Polyovyi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yuriy Scherbyna made a kick off. In the 60th minute, Danylo Husyev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the game's 60th minute Umanj Metalurg's Danylo Antonenko took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Zakhar Polyovyi and thus the score was 2-0. 65 minutes in the game, Artem Kucheruk fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Platon Galun having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Horlivka's zone, Yuriy Scherbyna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zakhar Polyovyi came out of the goal and Yuriy Scherbyna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zakhar Polyovyi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yuriy Scherbyna, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuriy Scherbyna in the 74th minute of play forced Horlivka's goalkeeper Zakhar Polyovyi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horlivka's Zakhar Polyovyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavrylo Kryvoshyjenko in the 76th minute of play. Vladyslav Zhenylenko's late challenge caught a Umanj Metalurg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vladyslav Zhenylenko helped the player get up and apologised. In the 77th match minute, Horlivka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladyslav Zhenylenko to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 79 minutes, Gavrylo Kryvoshyjenko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Umanj Metalurg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gavrylo Kryvoshyjenko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st minute, Yuriy Scherbyna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zakhar Polyovyi was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Horlivka's Zakhar Polyovyi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yuriy Scherbyna in the 89th minute of play. Horlivka's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
