In the 14th match minute, Molodohvardijsjk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pylyp Kolyada to maneuver through the defense. After 20 minutes, Tymur Kutsyi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kiev Spartak and the Molodohvardijsjk players grew even worse after the yellow card. A well-hit corner resulted in Olexandr Panchenko heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Mykyta Sereda charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mykyta Sereda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Molodohvardijsjk's Olexandr Panchenko got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kiev Spartak booed when Molodohvardijsjk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pylyp Kolyada didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Grygoriy Zhdaha fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Molodohvardijsjk's protests and gave Grygoriy Zhdaha a yellow card for diving instead. Grygoriy Zhdaha kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Artem Novychenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Predchuk having to interfere. Ivan Predchuk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artem Novychenko in the 47th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The Molodohvardijsjk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ivan Predchuk should have stopped the shot. Ivan Predchuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artem Novychenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Olexandr Panchenko took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Demjan Bagnyuk to make any attempt to save it. Kiev Spartak's Tymur Kutsyi pulled a muscle in his back after 67 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pylyp Kolyada during the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Artem Novychenko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kiev Spartak's supporters rose to their feet, but Artem Novychenko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivan Predchuk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Kiev Spartak's goalkeeper Demjan Bagnyuk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maxym Pavleschuk. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maxym Pavleschuk couldn't finish the play. The Molodohvardijsjk fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when Molodohvardijsjk's Maxym Pavleschuk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Pylyp Kolyada struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Demjan Bagnyuk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Molodohvardijsjk. Molodohvardijsjk's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
