Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Mykyta Zhenyukh made the kick off and thus started the match. Pylyp Gomenyuk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mykyta Zhenyukh in the 6th minute of the match. In the 11th minute Mykyta Zhenyukh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pylyp Gomenyuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vadym Polyanskyi during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Izmayil booed when Khmilnyk Lokomotyv was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vadym Polyanskyi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nazariy Kostyuk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anatoliy Kravchuk, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Izmayil's zone, Mykyta Zhenyukh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pylyp Gomenyuk came out of the goal and Mykyta Zhenyukh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pylyp Gomenyuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mykyta Zhenyukh in the 21st minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Khmilnyk Lokomotyv's goalkeeper Nazariy Kostyuk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tymofiy Fedjkovych. Anatoliy Kravchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tymofiy Fedjkovych could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Nazariy Kostyuk made a huge save. In the 29th match minute, Khmilnyk Lokomotyv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tykhon Barylko to maneuver through the defense. Tymofiy Fedjkovych's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Nazariy Kostyuk firmly grabbed it by the left post. 32 minutes into the match, Izmayil's goal looked a bit too open when Lev Lapa came free, but Pylyp Gomenyuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yarema Tsapiy during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 39th minute, one of Izmayil:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Izmayil. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anatoliy Kravchuk made a kick off. Khmilnyk Lokomotyv's Lev Lapa got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anatoliy Kravchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tymofiy Fedjkovych fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nazariy Kostyuk having to interfere. If Tymofiy Fedjkovych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anatoliy Kravchuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71 minutes, Kyrylo Dmytryuk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Izmayil and the Khmilnyk Lokomotyv players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Izmayil got a freekick which was hit by Kyrylo Dmytryuk. After recieving a nice pass, Khmilnyk Lokomotyv's Tymur Pakholyuk tried to score from far away in the 73rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 78 minutes into the match, Khmilnyk Lokomotyv's goal looked a bit too open when Tymofiy Fedjkovych came free, but Nazariy Kostyuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nazariy Kostyuk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tymofiy Fedjkovych in the 80th minute of play. Nazariy Kostyuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tymofiy Fedjkovych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 88 played minutes Izmayil got a freekick which was hit by Yarema Tsapiy. With a little luck, Izmayil's Pylyp Gomenyuk got control of the ball when Lev Lapa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Khmilnyk Lokomotyv's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
