Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) GALATASARAY's Necmi Hürsel started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12th minute, Necmi Hürsel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Turgut Özay was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. GALATASARAY's Atay Özsel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save GALATASARAY from getting a goal against them. Göktuğ Palabıyık charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Göktuğ Palabıyık the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Kosuyolu's Göktuğ Palabıyık got a free kick in the 19th minute. Besim Masum did an outstanding performance 20 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 0-2 to the right of an irritated Turgut Özay in the goal. Mustafa İzzet Orak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Turgut Özay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Kosuyolu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yakup Eroğul to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Kosuyolu's goal looked a bit too open when Münir Canfer came free, but Turgut Özay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Korkut Özakın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Münir Canfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hasan Can Peker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 43 minutes, Korkut Özakın mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kosuyolu and the GALATASARAY players grew even worse after the yellow card. Turgut Özay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Münir Canfer in the 45th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Müslüm Özatay to strike the kick off in the second half. Hasan Can Peker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atay Özsel having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Hasan Can Peker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute of the match Kosuyolu got a corner. GALATASARAY's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erdal Ülküsel ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Müslüm Özatay in the 63rd minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Atay Özsel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kosuyolu's zone, Münir Canfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Turgut Özay came out of the goal and Münir Canfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Müslüm Özatay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Hasan Can Peker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Müslüm Özatay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Atay Özsel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Müslüm Özatay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atay Özsel having to interfere. If Hasan Can Peker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Atay Özsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hasan Can Peker in the 88th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Müslüm Özatay in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Atay Özsel saved GALATASARAY from getting behind. Turgut Özay made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Münir Canfer sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Kosuyolu booed when GALATASARAY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa İzzet Orak didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 95 played minutes Kosuyolu got a freekick which was hit by Hasan Can Peker. The Kosuyolu supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching GALATASARAY's performance. The match ended with a win for GALATASARAY.
