The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlyas Tolga Yağınalp in the 3rd minute of play forced Derik JK's goalkeeper Songurbey Kumukbay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Derik JK's zone, İlyas Tolga Yağınalp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Songurbey Kumukbay came out of the goal and İlyas Tolga Yağınalp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mehmet Bedri Sağcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aykut Doğanay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Derik JK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ödemis JK:s goal. Atıf Raşit shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. İlyas Tolga Yağınalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Songurbey Kumukbay having to interfere. With a little luck, Ödemis JK's Mehmet Bedri Sağcan got control of the ball when Doğukan Sabit tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tuğrul Hızlı hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Songurbey Kumukbay didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from İlyas Tolga Yağınalp went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. İlyas Tolga Yağınalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Songurbey Kumukbay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cesur Acarsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Aykut Doğanay took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Mehmet Bedri Sağcan to make any attempt to save it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aykut Doğanay made a kick off. Songurbey Kumukbay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İlyas Tolga Yağınalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Derik JK's Aykut Doğanay got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğukan Sabit in the 65th minute of play forced Ödemis JK's goalkeeper Mehmet Bedri Sağcan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Bedri Sağcan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doğukan Sabit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mehmet Bedri Sağcan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğukan Sabit in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Rauf Aydoğan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Derik JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ödemis JK the free kick. If Doğukan Sabit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Ödemis JK's Cesur Acarsoy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Songurbey Kumukbay. Songurbey Kumukbay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 97 minutes into the match, Ödemis JK's goal looked a bit too open when Tuğrul Hızlı came free, but Mehmet Bedri Sağcan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ödemis JK walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
