Kaptan Urkan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Baran Alp Belge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, DOGUBAYAZITSPOR U21's goalkeeper Şafak Baykam had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bünyamin Kaptan. When Halit Ziya Ülküm came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the DOGUBAYAZITSPOR U21 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Halit Ziya Ülküm couldn't finish the play. Mustafa Yaşar Bican fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şafak Baykam having to interfere. With a little luck, DOGUBAYAZITSPOR U21's Şafak Baykam got control of the ball when Bünyamin Kaptan tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Kaptan Urkan managed to get in a good position for a shot. DOGUBAYAZITSPOR U21's supporters rose to their feet, but Kaptan Urkan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baran Alp Belge breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kaptan Urkan to strike the kick off in the second half. If Halit Ziya Ülküm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Bünyamin Kaptan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kozan JK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bünyamin Kaptan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Şafak Baykam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Yaşar Bican in the 80th minute of the match. Bünyamin Kaptan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Şafak Baykam read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Kaptan Urkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baran Alp Belge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
