The audience was convinced that Yaşar Toralp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sancarbey Oktar was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Özer Koç got free with Göksun Taki in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Göksun Taki came out and tried to block the shot, but Göktan Zeynur slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute. Göksun Taki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göktan Zeynur in the 41st minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Ali Cengiz Yaşar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Özer Koç in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Göksun Taki saved Alsancak FK from getting behind. Sancarbey Oktar made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Ali Cengiz Yaşar sent off a good shot on target. If Özer Koç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Göksun Taki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göktan Zeynur, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alsancak FK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
