Batıray Demirman took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orhan Veli Uğurhan. Orhan Veli Uğurhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Uğur Duyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, Cibali's Uğur Duyar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Songur Maksut made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Cibali's Orhan Veli Uğurhan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batıray Demirman in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uğur Duyar in the 30th minute of play forced Ayvacik's goalkeeper Songur Maksut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ayvacik getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Aytek Mürşit hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Uğur Duyar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cibali's supporters rose to their feet, but Uğur Duyar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Songur Maksut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Uğur Duyar notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ayvacik's Songur Maksut. Songur Maksut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bülent Eralkan struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Songur Maksut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cibali. Bülent Macit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Songur Maksut having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uğur Duyar to make the kick off. After some careless play in the Ayvacik defense, Uğur Duyar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Songur Maksut. The Ayvacik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Songur Maksut should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Başaran Uluberk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emran Cabir's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orhan Veli Uğurhan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Uğur Duyar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ayvacik's Songur Maksut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Uğur Duyar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Uğur Duyar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 73 minutes, Uğur Duyar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cibali's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uğur Duyar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th match minute, Cibali was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Atabek Durcan to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Emran Cabir notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Cibali's Orhan Veli Uğurhan. Orhan Veli Uğurhan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bülent Eralkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cibali's Bülent Eralkan got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Uğur Duyar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Songur Maksut was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Cibali's Bülent Macit got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Cibali players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
