Arif Nihat Siret blasted a shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Halis Orsel having to make a save. Yalçın Ilgın fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halis Orsel having to interfere. After 21 minutes, Köksal Ötüken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saruhanli and the Etiler FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 played minutes Saruhanli got a freekick which was hit by Köksal Ötüken. 23 minutes into the game, Yalçın Ilgın cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Halis Orsel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 26th minute Arif Nihat Siret shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halis Orsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Yalçın Ilgın notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Saruhanli's Halis Orsel. Halis Orsel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yalçın Ilgın during the 33rd minute. İlyas Balatekin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yalçın Ilgın made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Etiler FK's goal looked a bit too open when Turan Ateş came free, but İlyas Balatekin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Yalçın Ilgın made a precise shot to the right of Halis Orsel. Saruhanli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. After a rather tough play, Etiler FK's Güney Tokalp got a free kick in the 62nd minute.
